🪴 How to Grow Kaner in a Pot
1. Pot:
Use a pot around 12–18 inches wide with good drainage holes. As the plant grows, shift it to a larger pot.
2. Soil:
Use a loose, well-draining mix such as:
- 40% garden soil
- 30% compost
- 30% cocopeat or coarse sand
3. Sunlight:
Keep it in 5–7 hours of direct sunlight daily. More sunlight generally encourages better flowering.
4. Watering:
Water thoroughly when the upper layer of soil becomes dry. Avoid keeping the soil constantly soggy.
5. Fertilizer:
Add compost or well-rotted organic manure every 1–2 months during active growth.
6. Pruning:
Trim overly long or weak branches after flowering to maintain a bushy shape and encourage fresh growth.
7. Repotting:
Repot roughly every 2–3 years, preferably when the plant has outgrown its container.
