Sansevieria Fernwood is a compact, evergreen succulent known for its upright, narrow, dark green leaves with light green striping. It is one of the easiest indoor plants to grow and is ideal for homes, offices, and bedrooms.

Pot Requirements

Potting Mix

Use a well-draining succulent mix:

• 40% Garden Soil
• 30% River Sand or Perlite
• 20% Cocopeat
• 10% Vermicompost

Avoid heavy, water-retaining soil.

Light

• Bright indirect light is ideal.
• Can tolerate low-light conditions.
• A few hours of gentle morning sunlight encourages healthy growth.
• Avoid prolonged harsh afternoon sun.

Watering

• Water only when the soil is completely dry.
• Summer: Every 7–10 days
• Winter: Every 15–20 days
• Never allow water to stand in the pot.

Temperature

• Ideal temperature: 18–35°C
• Protect from frost and temperatures below 10°C.

Fertilizer

• Feed once every 30–45 days during spring and summer.
• Use a balanced liquid fertilizer (NPK 19:19:19) at half strength or apply vermicompost every 2–3 months.

Repotting

• Repot every 2–3 years or when roots fill the pot.
• Choose a pot only one size larger than the current one.

Propagation

• Divide mature clumps during repotting.
• Leaf cuttings can also be rooted, though division is faster and preserves the plant’s form.
