Philodendron Silver Satin Money Plant (commonly sold as Silver Satin / Scindapsus pictus) is a beautiful trailing plant with green leaves covered in silvery markings.

🪴 How to grow it in a pot

• Pot: Use a 6–8 inch pot with drainage holes. Move to a larger pot as the roots fill the container.
• Soil: Use a light, well-draining mix such as cocopeat + soil + compost + perlite/sand. Avoid heavy, water-holding soil.
• Light: Keep it in bright, indirect light. A little gentle morning sunlight is fine, but avoid strong afternoon sun.
• Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feels dry. Water thoroughly until some water comes out of the drainage holes, then empty the excess.
• Temperature: It grows well in warm conditions, ideally around 18–30°C. Protect it from cold drafts.
• Humidity: Moderate to high humidity helps it produce healthier leaves. Keep it away from very dry air or strong AC airflow.
• Support: You can let it trail from a hanging pot or provide a moss pole/trellis so the vines can climb.
• Feeding: During active growth, add a small amount of balanced liquid plant fertilizer once every 3–4 weeks.
• Pruning: Trim long or weak vines to encourage fuller growth. The cut pieces can also be used for propagation.

🌱 Easy propagation

Take a healthy vine cutting with 1–2 nodes, remove the lower leaf, and place the node in water or a moist, airy growing medium. Once good roots develop, transfer it into a small pot.
