🪴 How to Grow Nagarmotha in a Pot

  1. Use a 10–12 inch pot with good drainage holes.
  2. Use loose, well-draining soil mixed with compost.
  3. Plant the Nagarmotha root/crown about 2–3 cm deep.
  4. Keep the soil slightly moist, but don’t allow water to remain stagnant.
  5. Place the pot where it receives around 4–6 hours of sunlight.
  6. During hot weather, water when the top layer of soil begins to dry.
  7. Remove dry or yellow leaves regularly.
  8. The plant spreads through its underground roots, so divide the clump when it becomes crowded.
  9. For harvesting roots, allow the plant to establish well before removing a portion of the root system.

Tip: Nagarmotha prefers warmth, sunlight, moisture and loose soil, making it well suited to container growing in India’s climate.
