🪴 How to grow in a pot

Pot: Use a 10–12 inch pot with drainage holes.
Soil: Mix approximately 40% garden soil + 40% compost/vermicompost + 20% cocopeat or sand.

Planting:

  1. Sow the seeds about 0.5–1 cm deep.
  2. Keep the soil lightly moist.
  3. Seeds generally start sprouting within about 5–10 days under suitable warm conditions.
  4. Once seedlings are a few centimetres tall, keep the strongest plants and remove overcrowding.

Sunlight: Give around 4–6 hours of sunlight daily.
Watering: Water when the upper layer of soil starts becoming dry. Avoid keeping the pot waterlogged.
Harvest: Start picking tender leaves once the plant is well established. Regular harvesting encourages fresh growth.

Tip: For lush leaves, give it plenty of sunlight and add a small amount of compost every 2–3 weeks.
