Light
- Give it bright, indirect light.
- Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch leaves and fade the pattern.
- A spot near an east-facing window or behind a sheer curtain works well.
Water
- Keep the soil lightly moist, not soggy.
- Water when the top 1–2 cm (about 1 inch) feels slightly dry.
- Don’t let it sit in standing water.
- If possible, use filtered, distilled, or rainwater—calatheas can be sensitive to minerals and chemicals in tap water.
Humidity
- Aim for medium to high humidity (ideally above 50–60%).
- Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or group it with other plants.
- Keep it away from AC vents, heaters, and drafts.
Temperature
- Best range: 18–27°C (65–80°F).
- Protect it from cold windows and sudden temperature swings.

- Use a loose, well-draining mix: potting soil + coco coir/peat + perlite.
