The Aglaonema Pink Anjamani is a relatively easy indoor plant once you get the balance of light and watering right. Its pink-speckled leaves stay brightest in warm, humid conditions with indirect light
Light
- Best in bright indirect light.
- Avoid harsh afternoon sun — it can scorch the pink leaves.
- Too little light makes the plant leggy and reduces pink coloring.
- Near an east-facing window or a few feet from a south/west window works well.
Watering
- Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry.
- Keep soil slightly moist but never soggy.
- Reduce watering in winter.
- Yellow leaves often mean overwatering.
Soil
Use a loose, well-draining indoor mix:
- Potting soil + perlite + coco peat works well.
- A pot with drainage holes is important.
Temperature & Humidity
- Ideal temperature: 18–30°C
- Protect from cold drafts and AC airflow.
- Likes moderate humidity; occasional misting or a pebble tray helps, especially in Kolkata summers with indoor AC.
Fertilizer
- Feed once every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer.
- Use a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer at half strength.
- Avoid heavy feeding; too much fertilizer can dull leaf color.
Pruning & Cleaning
- Remove yellow or damaged leaves at the base.
- Wipe leaves occasionally with a damp cloth so they can photosynthesize properly.
