- On the Kalash (Sacred Pot)
- Place a betel nut inside the kalash filled with water.
- Sometimes kept on the mango leaves and coconut atop the kalash.
- Symbolizes invoking deities in the kalash.
- As Representation of Deities
- A betel nut is often placed on a betel leaf and worshipped as a form of Lord Ganesha at the start of puja.
- In Satyanarayan puja, Navagraha puja, and other rituals, supari is offered as symbolic deities.
- During Offerings (Naivedya)
- After offering food, flowers, and incense, a supari with betel leaf is offered to the deity along with dakshina (money).
- In Marriage & Auspicious Ceremonies
- Betel nut is used in rituals like kanya daan, griha pravesh, and engagements.
- Given with betel leaf as a token of respect and blessings.
