👩🍳 How to Make Amshi at Home
Ingredients:
- Raw green mangoes (firm and tart)
- Salt (optional, helps preserve and speed up drying)
Method:
- Wash and peel the raw mangoes.
- Slice thinly (about 3–4 mm thick).
- Sprinkle salt lightly and mix well.
- Sun-dry the slices on a clean cloth or tray for 3–5 days (or until completely dry and brittle).
- Bring them indoors at night to avoid moisture.
- Once fully dried, store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
(If sunlight isn’t strong, you can also dry them in a food dehydrator or oven on the lowest setting.)
