White Madar/Aak/Akanda/Vellerukku Healthy Herbal Plant

The Aak / Akanda / White Madar plant is Calotropis gigantea (also called Crown Flower). It’s a very hardy, low-maintenance plant that thrives in hot, dry climates.

1. Climate & Location

• Climate: Tropical to subtropical
• Temperature: 20–40°C (very heat tolerant)
• Sunlight: Full sun (6–8+ hours daily)
• Wind: Tolerates strong wind

✖ Not suitable as an indoor plant

2. Soil Requirements

• Type: Sandy, loamy, or well-drained soil
• pH: Neutral to slightly alkaline
• Drainage is critical (does not like waterlogging)

• 20% compost or cow dung manure
