🌱 How to Plant Shiuli / Parijat

1. Propagation

• By Seeds: Soak seeds in water for 24 hours before planting.
• By Cuttings: Hardwood cuttings of 6–8 inches can be planted in nursery soil.

2. Soil & Sunlight

• Soil: Well-drained, loamy or sandy soil
• Sunlight: Full sun to partial shade

3. Planting Steps

1. Choose a sunny spot with good drainage.
2. Dig a pit ~30 cm deep.
3. Mix compost or organic manure into the soil.
4. Place seedling/cutting in the pit and cover with soil.
5. Water immediately and regularly until established.

4. Watering & Care

• Water 2–3 times per week initially; reduce once tree is established.
• Prune dead branches to encourage flowering.
• Mulch around the base to retain soil moisture.
