Tulsi (Holy Basil, Ocimum sanctum) is one of the most revered herbs in Ayurveda, often called the “Queen of Herbs” for its wide-ranging health benefits.
🍵 How to Use Tulsi Leaves
- Tulsi Tea
- Boil 5–7 fresh or 1 tsp dried leaves in 2 cups water for 10 minutes.
- Strain, add honey or ginger if desired, and drink warm.
- Tulsi with Honey (for cough & cold)
- Crush 4–5 fresh leaves.
- Mix with 1 tsp honey and take once or twice daily.
- Tulsi Juice
- Blend a handful of fresh leaves with little water.
- Take 1–2 tsp juice on an empty stomach.
- Tulsi Steam Inhalation
- Add a few leaves to boiling water.
- Inhale the steam for relief from blocked nose and chest congestion.
- Tulsi Paste (for skin)
- Crush fresh leaves into a paste.
- Apply directly to acne, insect bites, or rashes.
- Mouth Rinse
- Boil tulsi leaves in water.
- Use the cooled water to rinse your mouth.
