Kulekhara leaves (commonly known as Screw Pine leaves, botanical name Pandanus odorifer) are widely used in Ayurveda.
How to Use Kulekhara Leaves
1. Pandan Leaf Tea
- Take 2–3 fresh or dried leaves, wash well.
- Boil in 2 cups of water for 5–10 minutes.
- Strain and drink warm → helps digestion, detox, and relaxation.
2. Cooking / Flavoring
- Used in Indian, Thai, and Southeast Asian recipes.
- Wrap rice, desserts, or meat in leaves → imparts natural aroma and flavor.
3. Skin Application
- Crush leaves into a paste or boil to make decoction.
- Apply externally on minor rashes, burns, or irritated skin.
4. Hair Care
- Boil leaves in water → cool and use as a hair rinse 2–3 times a week.
5. Aromatherapy / Room Freshener
- Dried leaves can be tied in bundles or kept in sachets → natural fragrance for rooms and wardrobes.
