🥄 How to Plant Fenugreek Microgreen Seeds
Supplies Needed:
- Fenugreek seeds (organic is best)
- Shallow tray or container with drainage
- Seed-starting soil or cocopeat
- Spray bottle for watering
- Optional: cheesecloth or paper towel
Steps:
- Soak Seeds
- Soak 2–3 tablespoons of seeds in water for 6–8 hours (or overnight).
- This speeds up germination.
- Prepare Tray
- Fill the tray with 1–2 inches of soil.
- Moisten the soil lightly (don’t overwater).
- Sow Seeds
- Spread the soaked seeds evenly over the soil surface.
- Lightly press them into the soil, but don’t bury too deep.
- Cover & Keep Moist
- Cover with a thin layer of soil or damp paper towel for 2–3 days.
- Keep the tray in a warm, indirect light location.
- Mist twice a day to keep the soil damp.
- Germination
- Seeds sprout in 2–3 days.
- Remove the cover once sprouts appear and give indirect sunlight.
- Growth
- Microgreens are ready to harvest in 7–10 days when they reach 2–4 inches tall.
- Use scissors to cut above the soil level.
