Fenugreek microgreens (from fenugreek seeds, also called methi seeds) are super easy to grow at home and packed with nutrients.

Supplies Needed:

  • Fenugreek seeds (organic is best)
  • Shallow tray or container with drainage
  • Seed-starting soil or cocopeat
  • Spray bottle for watering
  • Optional: cheesecloth or paper towel

Steps:

  1. Soak Seeds
    • Soak 2–3 tablespoons of seeds in water for 6–8 hours (or overnight).
    • This speeds up germination.
  2. Prepare Tray
    • Fill the tray with 1–2 inches of soil.
    • Moisten the soil lightly (don’t overwater).
  3. Sow Seeds
    • Spread the soaked seeds evenly over the soil surface.
    • Lightly press them into the soil, but don’t bury too deep.
  4. Cover & Keep Moist
    • Cover with a thin layer of soil or damp paper towel for 2–3 days.
    • Keep the tray in a warm, indirect light location.
    • Mist twice a day to keep the soil damp.
  5. Germination
    • Seeds sprout in 2–3 days.
    • Remove the cover once sprouts appear and give indirect sunlight.
  6. Growth
    • Microgreens are ready to harvest in 7–10 days when they reach 2–4 inches tall.
    • Use scissors to cut above the soil level.
