🌱 Radish microgreens are easy to grow, very nutritious, and add a spicy crunch to meals.
🌿 How to Plant Radish Microgreen Seeds
- Prepare the Container/Tray
- Use a shallow tray (2–3 inches deep) with drainage holes.
- Line with soil mix (organic potting soil or coco coir works well).
- Sow the Seeds
- Sprinkle radish microgreen seeds evenly across the surface.
- They germinate quickly, so you don’t need to space them much.
- Lightly press seeds into the soil but don’t bury them deep.
- Moisten the Soil
- Mist with water until the soil is damp, not soggy.
- Cover and Germinate
- Cover the tray with a lid or another tray for 2–3 days (this helps germination in darkness).
- Keep in a warm spot (18–24°C / 65–75°F).
- Light and Growth
- Once seeds sprout, uncover and place them near sunlight or under a grow light.
- Water lightly with a spray bottle every day to keep soil moist.
- Harvest
- In 7–10 days, radish microgreens will be 2–4 inches tall with vibrant green leaves and red stems.
- Cut them just above the soil with clean scissors.
🥗 How to Eat Radish Microgreens
Radish microgreens taste similar to mature radish—peppery, slightly spicy, and fresh.
- Salads: Toss them raw into leafy salads.
- Sandwiches/Wraps/Burgers: Use as a crunchy topping.
- Smoothies: Add a handful for an antioxidant kick.
- Garnish: Sprinkle on soups, curries, omelets, or roasted veggies.
- Stir-fries: Lightly toss in at the end (don’t overcook, or they lose nutrients).
