The Calathea ornata (often called the “pinstripe plant”) is a stunning but slightly fussy houseplant. Its dark green leaves with pink stripes look amazing—but it needs the right care to stay happy.

• Prefers bright, indirect light
• Avoid direct sunlight → it can scorch the leaves
• Tolerates medium light, but growth slows

💧 Watering

• Keep soil consistently moist, not soggy
• Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry
• Use:
  • Rainwater, distilled, or filtered water (they’re sensitive to chemicals)
